We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden death of our committee member Dr. Rajendram Ravindran and wish to express  our sincere sympathy and condolences to the Ravindran Family.

Dr Ravindran completed his MBBS in Sri Lanka and his surgical training in England (Birmingham).  Dr Ravi was instrumental in setting up the Accident & Emergency service in Colombo General Hospital in 1966.

He worked in Sri Lanka as a General/Trauma surgeon until he migrated to Australia in the late 1970s with his wife Beatrice.  Since then he has worked in various capacities including Director of the Julia Farr Rehabilitation centre.

Dr Ravi’s contribution towards SASDA  and to the Sri Lankan community in Australia will never be forgotten.

The funeral of the late Dr Rajendram Ravindran will take place at 11.30 am on Saturday, 19th October at the Heysen Chapel, Centennial Park Cemetery, 760, Goodwood Road, Pasadena .
